Sheree’s piece Adriana has featured in an anthology published through local independent bookstore Better Read Than Dead.
The anthology – The Road Less Travelled – features all 25 shortlisted entrants in a writing competition run through the bookstore. The competition received over 250 entries, all interpreting the theme of a Robert Frost quote from which the collection takes its name.
Adriana is a profile piece, based on Sheree’s interview with a Sydney sex worker. It explores the true nature of sex work, the impact of technological disruption on the sex industry, and other forces that shape the careers and lives of sex workers.
Sheree attended the launch at Better Read Than Dead on 25 August. The anthology is now available to purchase at their Newtown store ($19.99).
