Sheree, on behalf of local secondhand bookstore Sappho Books, has contributed book recommendations to Time Out Sydney.
As part of a movement to promote and support independent booksellers, this round-up of recommendations consists of hand-picked books based in Sydney and surrounds. The idea is to help readers enjoy and explore our city during this period of isolation and distancing, and encourage them to purchase their books through retailers that may be struggling during this period of slowdown.
Sheree has simultaneously been working on a project to make all Sappho Books titles available to purchase online, for the first time in the store’s history. The fiction catalogue is now available to browse and buy (with free postage for orders over $40), and additional titles are being added every day. Sheree will also be making further book recommendations for Sappho customers via their website and social media platforms.
